GOOGLE Maps have made exploring space possible for anyone with internet access. It has brought a new feature that branches out into the solar system. This feature comes with an update that lets users explore planets and moons.
To visit the distant locations, desktop users may visit the link here. Alternatively they may also load up Google Maps and zoom out from Earth until they reach space.
All the images of the planets and moons were captured by a spacecraft called Cassini. This spacecraft was launched into space 20 years ago.
Thanks to the new Google Maps feature, Mercury, Venus, Earth, the moon, Mars and even the International Space Station are simply a click away.
Astronomical artist Björn Jansson is behind the feature that lets you visit planets and moons in a 3D environment that mimics the actual conditions in space.
